| Let us start by telling you that FAFII Metal Detectors Plus is a family owned and operated retail metal detector company, that specializes in customer care! That's right, the service you receive from us is more important than the products themselves. Sure we offer extremely competitive pricing on the products we sell. Everyone who sells metal detectors does. They all buy from the same companies, get the same gear, read the same feature guides, and offer the same pricing (for the most part) that everyone else does. We do offer all of that as well, but in the grand scheme of things, what does that do for you. Wait a minute. Before we talk about that, lets give you a little background on the history and the origin of FAFII Metal Detectors Plus. | |||||||
| Let us start from the beginning. The passion for treasure hunting was a lifelong dream of a man named Fred Froehlich Sr.. A family man from Telford, Pennsylvania, with a wife and three children who was always looking for something new to do that would be fun for the whole family. After reading several treasure hunting magazines, he decided to purchase his first metal detector. It was an old green Compass metal detector that had one nob on it for everything. A Little later, he purchased a second detector by a company then known as Technetics. The third addition was a Tesoro Cutlass. This one was for his son Fred II. With 3 detectors in the family, Fred Sr. thought it would be a good idea to try an organized hunt in 1983. That was fun for the whole family. It was at this hunt a man approached Fred Sr. and asked him about becoming a dealer. Most would have blown it off as a silly offer, but Fred would try just about anything and everything to make money. He always wanted his own buisness, and this was the chance. He started later that year, and tried to sell in his spare time, never really making his mark in the market. After 8 years of selling metal detectors under the Froehlich Metal Detectors Plus name, Fred Sr. decided to call it quits. He still attended hunts from time to time, but never got back into the selling end of the buisness. | |||||||
| In 1998 Fred Froehlich Sr. passed away. He was survived by his wife and 3 children that loved him dearly. Though treasure hunting never made him rich, his love for his family made all of them rich beyond their wildest dreams. | |||||||
| In 1999, his son Frederick A. Froehlich II decided to try and make his father's dreams come true. He started putting together a buisness plan, and advertising strategy, but most of all, he started building relationships with certain vendors the way his father had years before. He faced some hard times in the beginning, but he knew one day he would make it happen. | |||||||
| On May 5, 2002, Fred II opened FAFII Metal Detectors Plus. It took a long time to organize, but when it was all over, without any sales logged, he knew his father would have been very proud of him, and it made the entire experience worth it. |

| Now let me tell you why this story is so important. | |||||||
| The difference between us and many other metal detector outlets in the country is, we are committed to more than shipping you a box. We want you to give us a call from time to time, and let us know what you think of your new gear. We want to hear all about what you have found. Most of all, we just want to know that we have done everything in our power to give you the best experience we can whether it is shopping with us or another dealer. We do not carry Fisher, Garrett, Compass, Tesoro, Whites, Minelab, or Troy Custom detectors. We carry Bounty Hunter, C Scope, Teknetics, JW Fishers, and Detector Pro. All of the brands we don't carry are fantastic units, and will last you for years to come. Some are better than others. But ALL of the brands we carry are strong reputable companies that we feel suit our customer the best. Personally, I have never heard a set of headphones that sound as crisp and clear as the Black Widow. I still have my first Bounty Hunter Big Bud from the 80's. C Scope is Great Britain's Finest. Teknetics is a top of the line company from First Texas Products, and I think everyone in the metal detector fraternity would agree that, JW Fishers are some of the best , if not the best, underwater detectors money can buy. We will never tell you not to buy a competitive product. We will however guarantee you an honest opinion every time you call us for help when you are looking for the right machine at the right price. | |||||||
| Well that is enough from me. We hope you enjoy the site, and if you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 267-626-3105, and we'll be happy to assist you any way we can. | |||||||
